Di Grignolino in Grignolino

On Sunday May 19th, the event “Di Grignolino in Grignolino” will take place and the main character will be one of the oldest vine variety of Monferrato.
Tenuta Santa Caterina will be open from 10am to 6pm. It will be a wonderful opportunity to come and know our two versions of Grignolino d’Asti. In the first version, the Arlandino, which is the ancient name of Grignolino, the wine rests in steel for nine months before bottling. The second wine called M2012 ages for thirty months in small French oak barrels, and for the next thirty months in the bottle. This wine represents the recovery of the Grignolino tradition, which saw the best batches of grapes destined for a long aging in wood. For this reason, this wine is also called Historical Grignolino.
