The vine cries and a new life starts

In winter, all is quiet under the white and soft coat of the snow. In the cold sunny days, when the land dries up in vineyard, we start pruning. Even the vines need to cut their dead branches before resuming its life cycle. We prune in Guyot, leaving eight to ten buds on the fruiting branch, and from there the branches will track the sun and watch the sky. Balance is everything and the pruning sets the plant and helps it to keep the right weight when leaves and fruits are born. The days are getting longer and now the birds sing at dawn to announce the rebirth of nature. The campaign begins to be tinged with green fields overhanging winter brown hills. The cut is clean and the vine weeps. But it cries to rebirth a new life, spring is about to begin!
