A wine selection that has been awarded by the Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso for the year 2021. Unique wines with great ageing potential, whose creation was driven by the desire to fully express the Monferrato territory. The production is limited and grapes derive from individual vineyard plots. In addition to the Grignolino wine Monferace - that ages 30 months in wood and 30 months in the bottle and has been awarded by Gambero Rosso for the second time with the highest score - you will find our Silente delle Marne, a monovarietal Chardonnay. This wine was honoured by the prominent wine guide with the two-red-glasses award. Furthermore, it includes our Arlandino, a Grignolino wine which matures in stainless steel, representing a popular version in the Monferrato area and granting this almost forgotten grape variety its true value.
The package includes bottles in 0,75 L format of the following wines:
MONFERACE - Grignolino d'Asti DOC 2016
SILENTE DELLE MARNE - Monferrato Bianco DOC 2015
ARLANDINO - Grignolino d'Asti DOC 2018
Monferace / Grape Variety Grignolino 100%. Vineyard location 300 metres a.s.l. with South/South-East facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare.Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, starting from the first days of October. Grape production per hectare 40/50 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 28-30° C, at a controlled temperature.
Silente delle Marne / Grape Variety Chardonnay 100%. Vineyard location 300 metres a.s.l. with South-West facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare.Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, starting from the first days of September. Grape production per hectare 80 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 18-20° C, 100% fermented in French oak barrels (225 litres).
Arlandino / Vitigno Grignolino 100%. Ubicazione vigneto 350 metri s.l.m. con esposizione a Sud-Ovest. Densità per ettaro da 4.500 a 5.000 ceppi/ettaro. Sistema di allevamento Guyot. Vendemmia effettuata a mano, nell’ultima decade di settembre. Produzione uva per ettaro 60/70 quintali. Fermentazione a temperatura controllata circa 26-28° C.
Monferace / Ageing in oak barrels for 30 months and a further 30 months in bottle
Silente delle Marne / Ageing about 9 months in barriques on its fermentation lees, with periodic batonnage carried out by hand in the first months after the end of fermentationone
Arlandino / Ageing in stainless steel tanks, for 9 months
