Bottles Package
The Tenuta Santa Caterina wine range that has always satisfied the most sophisticated palates. Designed for those wine lovers, who want to taste great white wines next to important reds such as Barbera and Freisa. Hence you will discover our Salidoro, a Chardonnay and Sauvignon blend that will delight you with its fine taste and pairs perfectly with any dish; as well as our Barbera d'Asti Superiore, representing the best vineyard sites of the Monferrato area and the Freisa d'Asti Superiore in its elegant, aged version after maturing 20 months in wood and two years in the bottle.
The package includes bottles in 0,75 L format of the following wines:
SALIDORO Chardonnay - Sauvignon Blanc
VIGNALINA Barbera d’Asti Superiore
SORIDIGIUL Freisa d’Asti Superiore
Vignalina / Grape Variety Barbera 100%. Vineyard location 350 metres a.s.l. with South/South-East facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare. Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, starting from the third week of September. Grape production per hectare 80 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 26-28° C, at a controlled temperature
Sorìdigiul / Grape Variety Freisa 100%. Vineyard location 300 metres a.s.l. with South-East facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare. Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, starting from the fourth week of September. Grape production per hectare 45/50 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 26-28° C, at a controlled temperature. Ageing in new French oak tonneaux for about 8 months and a further of 12 months in large oak barrels (30 hl).
Salidoro / Grape Variety Chardonnay 75% - Sauvignon Blanc 25%.Vineyard location 300 metres a.s.l. with South/West facing. Density per hectare from 4,500 to 5,000 plants/hectare. Training system Guyot. Harvesting by hand, starting from the first days of September. Grape production per hectare 80 quintals/hectare. Fermentation temperature about 18° C, at a controlled temperature. About 10% of Chardonnay ferments in French Oak barrels.
Vignalina / Ageing in oak barrels (30hl) for about 10 months and in the bottle for a further 6 months
Sorìdigiul / Ageing in new French oak tonneaux for about 8 months and a further of 12 months in large oak barrels (30 hl)
Salidoro / Ageing in stainless steel tanks on the lees for about 9 months, 10% ferment in barrique refines in wood on the lees for 9 months
Service temperature/ Vignalina 18-20°C / Sorìdigiul 20°C / Salidoro 8°C
